PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated providing a variety of services to the community. Their offerings include:  Case Management, Energy Assistance, Weatherization, Aging Services, Senior, RSVP, and Head Start.

 

The organization supports children, families, seniors with disabilities, and those in poverty through help centers located in Killeen and Temple, along with ten Senior Centers across nine core counties. They also extend Head Start and Weatherization services to A 17 county area.

The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is a vital federal program managed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It provides essential funding to local Community Action Agencies (CA) aimed at tackling the root causes of poverty in underserved communities. CSBG supports diverse services such as housing nutrition, utility assistance, transportation, employment, education, and income-building programs, helping over 9 million people each year. Through these, CSBG plays a crucial role in empowering individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency.

The Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) is a vital utility assistance initiative aimed at supporting low-income households in their immediate energy needs. By promoting energy education, CEAP empowers consumers to manage their energy costs effectively for years to come. This program integrates all LIHEAP-funded services, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness while minimizing duplication of efforts. Through CEAP, we strive to ensure that every household has access to the support they need for a sustainable energy future.
